We provide trademark-related services including preliminary searches, preparation, filing, and prosecution of trademark applications before the National Intellectual Property Office of Sri Lanka ("NIPO").
We act as a professional service provider and not as a government authority.
Engagement & Acceptance
By submitting an application and making payment through our platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.
Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information regarding the trademark and applicant details
- Promptly provide any additional documents, translations, or instructions required
- Ensure that the use of the mark does not infringe third-party rights
We shall not be responsible for delays or refusals resulting from incomplete or incorrect information.
Filing & Processing
Upon receipt of payment, your application will be reviewed by our registered trademark agents and prepared for filing with NIPO.
Filing timelines may vary depending on the completeness of the information and documentation provided.
No Guarantee of Registration
Trademark registration is subject to examination, opposition, and approval by NIPO.
We do not guarantee registration, acceptance, or the absence of objections or third-party oppositions.
Additional Work & Fees
The quoted fees cover standard filing where the application proceeds without objections or opposition.
If additional proceedings arise (including but not limited to refusals, oppositions, submissions, alterations, assignments or hearings), additional professional fees and official fees payable to NIPO will apply and will be communicated in advance.
Government Fees
Official fees payable to NIPO are subject to change and are beyond our control.
Any increase, currency fluctuation, or additional requirement imposed by the authorities may result in additional charges.
Communications
All communications will be conducted via email unless otherwise agreed.
Clients are responsible for monitoring communications and responding within required timeframes.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant service.
We are not responsible for:
- Decisions of NIPO or other authorities
- Delays caused by third parties
- Losses arising from refusal, opposition, or non-registration
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
